BBVA
Mobile App Redesign
Project Challenge
BBVA has had a long standing mobile app that many of the US users know well and love. The global brand had a different and more modern UI style. Our goal was to align the visual style in order to have consistency with our global brand, but not disrupt our users ability to interact with the app in the ways they have become accustomed to.

- SOLUTION -
Our design team surveyed the main features that our users interact with and compared global patterns to those flows. We aligned as closely as possible to the general look and feel, while making sure that the UX patterns didn't get broken in the process.

Simplified Messages
The original app had all the info users needed, but at times it felt overloaded with information. We took the opportunity to adjust the hierarchy of information and simplify the message for reduction of cognitive load.
Ease of Use
Using a simplified UI with more visual impact, we were able to bring an easier understanding of how to accomplish tasks.

Improved Step Process
One Brand
Room to Grow
Multi-step process can always be difficult. We built a process to help the user quickly see how many steps and what is needed right at the beginning.
BBVA is a global brand that is trying to align all the regions to feel like they are products from the same family. The new UI was taken from global libraries and patterns to bring the US app into same voice as the global apps being created in Spain.
While addressing the UI in this project we also were able to see where future improvements in UX and global patterns can be implemented.
